About Hemal V. Shah
Earnest and eager for all things science, Hemal Shah, MD, describes himself as a “techie” at heart. So while science drove him to pursue a medical career, his techie side prompted him to pursue advanced education in cardiology and electrophysiology. Dr. Shah offers a research-rich background, accenting his electrophysiology specialty training with studies in cardiac transplant medications and improved echocardiography imaging technologies. At the University of Pittsburg Medical Center where he completed three fellowships and an internal medicine residency, he was tapped as a clinical instructor and facilitator. He extends his love for teaching to his patients, encouraging them to pursue the benefits of exercise, diet and a smoke-free lifestyle in obtaining optimal heart health. Committed to helping his patients lead high quality lives, he stays current with the newest technologies for patients with abnormal heart rhythms.
