About Patrick Edward Muck
A recognized leader in the field of Vascular Surgery, Dr. Muck performs the most complex procedures and trains other health care professionals in vascular methods. He has been the program director of TriHealth Vascular Surgery since 2007. His surgical expertise includes minimally invasive treatments of all types of problems of the circulatory system, including carotid stents, transcarotid artery revascularization (TCAR) and complex aneurisms, performing them on patients throughout southern Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. His proficiency in treatment of vascular issues also extends to: • Aortic aneurysms • Carotid artery disease • Chronic venous insufficiency • Deep vein thrombosis • Peripheral vascular disease • Varicose veins
Dr. Muck's leadership roles and board appointments most recently have included the American Venous Forum (spanning 26 countries) and the Midwestern Vascular Surgical Society, where he serves on the Executive Council. He has been called upon to share his knowledge through presentations and meetings nationally and internationally, including in Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and South America.
At TriHealth, Dr. Muck is the director of the TriHealth Vascular Fellowship Program. He advances vascular care by training the next generation of vascular surgeons. He participates in and leads clinical trials, offering patients the latest vascular treatments. He presently is serving as the primary investigator (PI) in a 30-site national trial studying the treatment of pulmonary embolism.
A Northern Kentucky native and graduate of the University of Kentucky and the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Muck has strong regional connections. His wife is from Augusta, KY, where they also have a home. He is committed to finding circulatory solutions for patients throughout southern Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky to improve their quality of life.
