About Benjamin P. Kleinhenz
Benjamin P. Kleinhenz, M.D. is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon with years of experience focusing on treatment of the upper extremities. He specializes in hand surgery and believes his decision to specialize there was directly influenced by his personal experience watching his father – a successful orthopaedic surgeon — navigate the challenges of that particular specialty while treating patients.
Dr. Kleinhenz graduated cum laude with a BA in economics from the University of Notre Dame. He attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati and completed his orthopaedic residency at Wright State University. After his residency, he completed a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the University of Iowa.
Dr. Kleinhenz is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. Given his education, training and experience, he is a well-prepared provider for patients struggling with injury or conditions caused by trauma or sports injuries. He is also an expert reconstructive hand surgeon.
Dr. Kleinhenz and his wife Julie are both from Dayton, Ohio and they love raising their three children here in Cincinnati. In his free time, Dr. Kleinhenz enjoys fly fishing, hiking and travel.
