Kelley Barney, MD, was inspired to pursue a career in pediatrics by a physician who served as her mentor, and discussed how becoming a pediatrician could make an immediate impact on a child's health and well-being. In medical school, Pediatrics was her first rotation and she immediately realized that she loved working with children and families.Dr. Barney knows she is there to answer all questions. She builds relationships with both the parents and her patients to understand where they are coming from so she can develop the most appropriate treatment plan. She is always keeping her ears open so she can successfully guide both parents and patients through their health care journey, whatever the process. Dr. Barney sees patients from birth to age 21. She focuses on educating parents and patients about healthy life choices, specifically on obesity, and staying active.
