About the Provider

Science was always the favorite subject of Jonathan Hassel, MD, but his career was decided while studying cardiology in his second month of medical school. The physiology made sense to him, and his physician parents encouraged him to follow his heart.

Dr. Hassel specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases and abnormalities, with special training in interventional cardiology, including valvular and peripheral vascular diseases. He is encouraged by the continuous development of procedures and medications that allow him to better treat and manage heart conditions.

Dr. Hassel believes in developing a comfortable relationship with his patients, encouraging open communication and joint decision making. He urges everyone to remain active in daily living to promote good heart health.

Originally from Springfield, Ohio, Dr. Hassel and his wife, a Milford native, chose Cincinnati as home for their five children. He enjoys watching and playing sports, including running and scuba diving.

After having the same cardiologist for so long, it takes some time to build a relationship with the new doctor. Each appointment with Doctor Hassel gets more comfortable and more productive as a foundation is being built. Felt very good about this appointment and working with Dr. Hassel on my health.
