About Nicholas S. Mirkopoulos
Nicholas S. Mirkopoulos, M.D. is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He provides total joint replacement and wider sports medical care to his patients. He is a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and has even chaired a hospital department of orthopedics.
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Dr. Mirkopoulos graduated from Withrow High School. He attended Northwestern University on a football scholarship. He came back to the Tri-State to earn his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati. Upon graduation, he then completed his residency at Summa’s combined orthopedic residency program.
Dr. Mirkopoulos leads his field by using new techniques such as patient-specific total joint replacement. He has specialized training that benefits his patients who may need total joint arthroplasty and other novel approaches to total hip replacement. His practice focus includes minimally invasive joint replacement and total knee replacement.
He is fluent in English, Greek and Macedonian. In his free time, he enjoys being with his family and traveling.
