About John J. Sullivan
John Sullivan is a native of Cincinnati and graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1979. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1983. Dr. Sullivan was granted his MD from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1989 and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus Ohio in 1993. He is active on the staff of the Obstetric and Gynecology Department at Bethesda Hospital.
John Sullivan, MD, credits growing up with three sisters for his ability to connect with his patients. Understanding each patient beyond her medical chart is an essential focus of his practice, allowing him to build unique rapport with everyone he sees.
Dr. Sullivan provides a comprehensive range of gynecological services for women in every phase of life. He is proficient in minimally invasive robotic surgical procedures, including procedures for hysterectomy and myomectomy. Dr. Sullivan encourages patients to make an active decision to live ahealthy lifestyle and, in the process, try to break unhealthy habits. His practice focus includes:
- Routine annual exams
- Obstetrical care
- Premenstrual syndrome management
Dr. Sullivan enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, reading and photography.
