About Thomas E. Shockley, Jr.
Thomas Shockely, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, who received his fellowship training at the Atlanta Sports Medicine Center. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a general surgery internship at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN.
Dr. Shockley is trained in some of the most advanced sports medicine procedures. In addition to sports medicine, Dr. Shockley evaluates and treats general orthopedic problems including fractures and arthritis. Over the course of his 20 year career, Dr. Shockley has performed thousands of orthopedic procedures, ranging from arthroscopy to total joint replacement.
Dr. Shockley is highly involved with a number of local, state and national medical associations, including the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine, which is instrumental in promoting best healthcare practices for residents of the region. He also hosts health and wellness radio programs to educate listeners on a variety of healthcare topics. Dr. Shockley is a member of the Medical Executive Committee at TriHealth Evendale Hospital. He has served as a team physician for Cincinnati State and currently serves as team physician for Finneytown High School.
In his free time, Dr. Shockley enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling, golfing, reading and exercising.
