About Bryan J. Ellis
Experiences during childhood motivated Dr. Ellis to become a physician. At age 5, he watched family members with medical training spring into action to care for Xenia, Ohio, residents after a deadly tornado came through the town. Dr. Ellis also witnessed both of his grandmothers battle breast cancer.
Desiring to help people overcome medical issues and get their lives back to normal, Dr. Ellis chose the specialty of general surgery. He has continued to advance in the field by becoming proficient in minimally invasive surgical techniques. His practice focus includes:
- Laparoscopic hernia surgery and complex abdominal wall reconstruction
- Breast cancer surgery
- Intestinal illness surgery
- Minimally invasive surgery, including robotic-assisted procedures and advanced laparoscopic surgeries
Dr. Ellis has held a variety of leadership positions within TriHealth and is currently the chairman of the Department of Surgery for Bethesda, and a member of the General Surgery Residency teaching staff. He balances his professional life by spending time with his family, coaching youth soccer and rooting for Ohio State football and the Cincinnati Bengals.
