About the Provider
Dr. Gennaro D. LaBella. M.D. is an attending surgeon at Bethesda North Hospital and long standing faculty member of the TriHealth General surgery residency program. He completed his General surgery residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati Ohio followed by a Colon and rectal surgical fellowship at the Carle Foundation Hospital/University of Illinois program in Champaign Illinois.

Dr. LaBella focuses his career on colon and rectal cancer, perineal proctology surgery, use of sacral nerve stimulators for fecal incontinence, inflammatory bowel disease and surgical endoscopy. He has training in robotic and laparoscopic surgery and has collaborated and taught with surgeons in the USA, Italy and Armenia. He has several peer reviewed publications, book chapter, and presentations to his credit.

Dr. LaBella is well known for his passion towards surgical resident teaching and has been named "Top doctor" in Cincinnati for over 10 consecutive years. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.

When not caring for patients, Dr. LaBella enjoys spending time with his family and he loves to cook.
