About Omdevasena Thirugnanam
Omdevasena Thirugnanam, M.D. received her Medical Degree in Tamil Nadu Dr M.G.R. Medical University, in Chennai, India in 2001. She joined the Bethesda Family Medicine residency program and graduated in 2009. During her clinical rotation with the TriHealth Sleep Center, she was intrigued with the effects of sleep on a patient's overall wellbeing. Dr. Thirugnanam joined the Sleep Medicine fellowship and graduated in 2010. She worked for the Sleep Management Institute for seven years, returning to TriHealth in 2018. She also became board-certified in Obesity Medicine in 2018.
Dr. Thirugnanam has a passion for helping people become healthy and stay healthy. She is driven by the belief that her patients are not simply the sum of their body parts and illnesses, but instead subscribes to the “whole person” view of healthy living. She values a customized and coordinated approach to patient care, working in close collaboration with primary care, or other health providers, as well as patients to ensure successful treatment outcomes.
Her current clinical focus covers all sleep problems including, but not limited to, obstructive and central sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, narcolepsy, and parasomnias. Sleep Medicine offers excellent work-life balance. When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Thirugnanam enjoys spending time with her family and reading books.
